AN ENGINEERING THERMOPLASTIC FOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERING APPLICATIONS

ANUTRON-0520 is a hard, stiff, strong, dimensionally stable material that absorbs very little water. It has good gas barrier properties and good chemical resistance except to alkalis (which hydrolyse it). ANUTRON-0520 is widely known in the form of biaxially oriented and thermally stabilised application Another important quality of ANUTRON-0520 is th th its relatively lighter weight (approximately 1/8 the weight of bronze, 1/7 the weight of steel, and half the weight of aluminum) which reduces both inertial and static loads and eases the handling of large components during maintenance or replacement procedures. ANUTRON-0520 has balanced mechanical properties and its exceptional machinability makes it the ideal material for a wide range of applications such as gear, gear-racks, rollers, bearing blocks, wear plates, bushing, slipper pads, sliding bars, pulleys, etc

ANUTRON-0520 is also available as stock item in basic shapes (Rods, Sheets, Blocks, Squares and RectangularBars) with machining instructions.
